Former ACTIVE Network and Partnership for a Drug Free America Executive Joins Founder Jeff Jordan
Rescue Social Change Group announced today that Kristin Carroll has joined the behavior change agency as Chief Executive Officer, partnering with President and Executive Creative Director, Jeff Jordan. Carroll will be focused on business strategy, operations, and the growth of Rescue while also driving client success, and expanding behavior change efforts to corporate clients focused on making healthy behaviors easier and more appealing.
“Rescue has over 13 years of experience in designing successful campaigns to promote healthy behaviors among young people. With recent and continuing new business wins, such as our $152 million tobacco prevention efforts for the FDA, we are focused on delivering campaign results and setting a foundation to scale our efforts. Kristin has a unique background across advertising, marketing and public health efforts and she is an extremely well respected, accomplished leader who brings corporate, agency, and large government client experience to our team,” said Jeff Jordan.
Carroll joins in this newly created position at a time of significant momentum for Rescue. Annual sales have grown over 150% in the last 3 years and are expected to quadruple in the next 2 years based on existing contracts including work for Federal Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products, Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth, and the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development. Rescue also has a track record of long-term success having worked with many of its clients for over five (5) years or more and never losing an existing client to another agency.
Kristin most recently served as Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Execution and also held the top marketing spot for ACTIVE Network, a public company recently sold to Vista Equity Partners for just north of $1 billion. She has a significant background in healthy lifestyles having spent the last 13 years at ACTIVE focused on promoting participation in activities ranging from community classes in the City of Chicago to Little League Baseball teams, to National Reservation and Recreation Service (NRRS) parks. From 2001 – 2011, she built ACTIVE’s Media + Marketing division from start-up mode to a $40 million business. During her tenure, she drove digital, event, and sponsorship plans for clients including Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, General Mills, and Toyota. Under her leadership, the group earned the #15 spot on the PROMO 100 in 2004 and was named among PROMO’s Top 10 fastest growing agencies from 2006 – 2008. She’s also led creative development efforts at the Partnership for a Drug-Free America working on the historic Office of National Drug Control Policy Paid Media Campaign.
“It’s a perfect time to be joining the Rescue team. They have set the standard for how to positively effect health behaviors and are doing groundbreaking work in promoting after school programs, increasing healthy eating, and reducing smoking among the highest risk audiences. Their specialized combination of marketing expertise and social science measurement is maturing during a time when public health is in the headlines every day. I believe there are many more applications for Rescue’s work and know there is a tremendous opportunity to positively impact our communities, workplaces and families,” said Carroll.
