By now, most people understand the often deadly consequences that smoking cigarettes can have on a person and even those around a smoker via secondhand smoke. But what about animals?
Sure, they’re not actually lighting up, but does secondhand smoke effect their health? Unfortunately, yes. This topic is covered in Ydouthink‘s latest campaign, “Pets’ Health,” that includes television and radio ads, as well as an interactive contest on Facebook.
The goal is to inform pet owners that secondhand smoke can cause harm in a variety of animals, like cats, dogs, birds, and rodents. While shooting the television commercials, Rescue Agency’s Social Change Studio had the opportunity to work with live animals. Having a few “professional dogs” around the office certainly brought a lot of smiles (and dog hair) to the team. Watch both of the television ads below. Which is your favorite animal?
