Rescue is seeking a Local Events Coordinator experienced in planning, promoting and executing events to alternative teens in Connecticut. This candidate will execute 3 alternative events from February 2018– July 2018 as well as recruit and supervise a local team of brand ambassadors (13-19 year olds) to attend the local events.
Local Coordinator Description:
The Local Events Coordinator is responsible for executing sponsored alternative music events at local venues throughout the state of Connecticut.
Rescue is working to promote a healthy tobacco free lifestyle through fully-branded sponsored events that target teens (ages 13-19) in the local alternative music scene in Connecticut. The strategy focuses on concerts, music, street promotions, social media, branded clothing and other music scene-specific tactics.

Minimum Age: Must be 18 y/o or older
Environment: Must have reliable vehicle to transport event materials, and computer and Internet access at home. Must be available to perform contract duties during non-traditional hours such as late nights and weekends as the majority of our events are held during these times. Candidate must maintain a tobacco-free environment during events. Most year round events take place outdoors and some of those may be in wet or muddy conditions.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to manually lift up to 40 pounds from the floor to table height and back to the floor, and work standing for 4-8 hours.

Compensation/Status: This is a non-exempt, hourly, part-time role. Employee will be paid $22 per hour to include time spent preparing for the event, during the event and follow up responsibilities after each event.
